At MARAbio, we understand how important it is to get clear answers — especially when it comes to billing. Our goal is to keep the process simple, transparent, and flexible, so you can focus on your family’s care.
MARAbio is working hard to get the MAR-Autism Test covered by insurance. Until that time, MARAbio does not bill insurance companies directly for testing. The test is currently available on a self-pay basis, with flexible payment options to support families.

We offer flexible payment options, including financial assistance for eligible patients.

What Are My Payment Options?

Prompt Pay Discount (Save 35%)

If you choose to pay your balance in full before testing begins, you’ll receive a 35% discount off the self-pay price.

You’ll simply complete a secure digital agreement and make your payment — no ongoing monthly bills.

Monthly Payment Plan

Want to spread out payments? We offer a payment plan with automatic monthly billing.
You’ll need to make a minimum first payment of $400 and provide a credit card for secure auto-pay.

Financial Assistance Program

Making the MAR-Autism test more accessible

At MARAbio, we understand that the cost of testing can be an important consideration for families. The MAR-Autism test is currently available on a self-pay basis and is not covered by insurance at this time. To help improve access, MARAbio offers a Financial Assistance Program for eligible patients.

Patients who qualify may receive a reduced test price based on household size, annual household income, and other information submitted during the application process.

How the Financial Assistance Program Works

You request the test

After you request the test through our telehealth process or your healthcare provider submits the MAR-Autism test order on your behalf, you will receive instructions to complete authorization and payment.

Submit your application

If the estimator indicates you may be eligible, you can log in to the payment portal and complete a brief financial assistance application. You will be asked to provide supporting documentation, such as proof of income, or other information needed to verify eligibility.

Receive a decision before payment

If approved, your reduced price will be automatically updated on your invoice before you complete payment. Your balance can be paid securely by credit or debit card.

Presumptive Eligibility

Patients may be deemed presumptively eligible without full income documentation if they meet any of the following criteria:

• Currently enrolled in Medicaid (refers to the patient/mother’s medicaid status herself, not the child’s medicaid status)

• Documented as homeless or residing in a shelter

• Currently receiving public assistance (SNAP, TANF, SSI, WIC)

Billing FAQ

The test is not covered by insurance at this time.
The list price of the test is $985. MARAbio offers quick pay discounts and payment plans available through the portal checkout process.
During the authorization and payment step in the portal, you will be asked for your credit card or debit card information.
You will receive a receipt for the test which provides the amount you have paid. We suggest you check with your HSA/FSA provider to determine eligibility requirements and coverage prior to submission.
We offer a fast pay discount when you pay your full test amount in one payment during checkout. You can also choose a payment plan option if you prefer to spread out your payments. Both options are available to select during the payment and checkout process in the portal.
We offer refunds in certain circumstances, such as cancellation requests before specimen collection, rare instances of test result errors or lost samples, or other exceptional situations. Refund amounts may vary based on the testing stage and applicable processing costs. For refund eligibility and procedures, please contact support@MARAbio.com and include your reason for the refund request. Refund policy is subject to change.

Yes. MARAbio offers a Financial Assistance Program for eligible patients who need help paying for the MAR-Autism Test. Eligibility is based on household size, annual household income, and other information submitted as part of the application process.
You can use the financial assistance estimator to see whether you may be likely to qualify. The estimator provides a preliminary result only and does not guarantee approval.
No. The calculator is only an estimate. Final approval requires a completed application and review by MARAbio. You may also be asked to provide supporting documentation.
Please apply before completing payment and before your blood draw is performed. This allows MARAbio to review your application and apply any approved reduction before testing begins.
You may be asked to provide information about your household size, annual household income, and current financial situation. MARAbio may also request supporting documentation, such as proof of income.
Most completed applications are reviewed within 2 business days. Appeals may take up to 5 business days. If more information is needed, MARAbio will contact you using the information provided in your application.
If approved, your reduced price will be automatically applied in the MARAbio portal which can be found on the invoice page. You will then be able to complete payment securely using a credit or debit card.
If you are not approved for financial assistance, you can still choose from MARAbio’s available payment options, including prompt pay or a monthly payment plan.
Financial assistance should be requested before payment and before specimen collection. If you have already paid, contact MARAbio support (support@marabio.com) to discuss whether any options are available.
Applying may add time before payment and specimen collection, especially if additional documentation is needed. Once your application is reviewed and payment is completed, the normal testing process can continue.
MARAbio treats financial assistance information with care and uses it only to review eligibility and support billing-related processes.
Financial assistance applications are handled securely by the MARAbio team during the eligibility review process. Financial information is stored securely and not shared with anyone outside of the MARAbio team.
